Campion Tennis Club members and guests will now be able to play tennis all year round and late into the evening, after the club’s courts benefitted from new and improved floodlights.
The club previously only had floodlights available on three of their seven courts however following the works completed in January, five courts will now have state of the art floodlights in place.
Club Chairman, David McDermott, officially turned on the new floodlights earlier this month and commented:
“These courts are an asset to the community as well as Campion Tennis Club members and so we are very pleased to have been able to invest in improving the quality of the facilities available at the club.”
The ‘state of the art lights’ – which are low energy and have minimal ‘spillage’ beyond the courts – will transform the experience of members and the local community.
Club Captain, Callum Baddeley, commented:
“We’re very happy to make it possible for all members and the local community to have access to high quality facilities.”
“There are very few clubs across the North West who can provide the facilities we can, let alone five floodlit tennis courts. The new floodlights will enable the club to attract more people to the club and ensure players of all ages and abilities can play in a safe and enjoyable environment all year round.”
To use the floodlights, members must purchase a token(s). For further information, please see a member of the club’s Committee.
