Campion Tennis Club launches new website!

We’re delighted to announce our new, interactive club website is now live!

Following a very busy year we’ve decided to give our website a much-needed makeover and the results are fantastic!

With a fresh look and feel and a new intuitive design, our new website is designed with existing and prospective members in mind. Not only does the new website give the club a platform that highlights our activity in a much stronger light but it’s now also a resource for all our existing and prospective members who want to know more about what’s going on at the club, including coaching, team tennis, social tennis and events.

Our new website is easier to use, highlights our various activities and also gives users a more comprehensive insight into what’s going on at the club.

Over the coming weeks we’ll be adding key dates to the website including team fixtures, coaching and camp dates as well as social dates!

We hope you all like it and would appreciate any feedback you have about your experiences of interacting with it!

Men’s ‘A Team’ Claim Top Lancashire Trophy

Campion Tennis Club have been crowned champions of the Tennis Lancashire Roscoe Trophy, for the first time in the club’s history.

The Roscoe Trophy consists of the best mens teams from all over Lancashire and it was the competition’s defending champions Holcombe Brook Tennis Club who Campion would have to beat in the final to win.

Having fallen at the last hurdle in recent years, Campion were determined to go one stop further in 2018/19. After a First Round Bye, victories at Sphynx Tennis Club and Bamford Tennis Club followed to set up a final against one of Lancashire’s most successful tennis clubs, Holcombe Brook.

The Roscoe Trophy final was a fitting climax to the season after the mens First Team had once again claimed the Liverpool Tennis League First Division Trophy for a record fourth consecutive year.

In front of members from their respective clubs as well as guests from Tennis Lancashire, the final was played in a great spirit and was settled in the final rubber of matches. Campion would eventually come out on top 5-4.

Club Captain Callum Baddeley commented:

“Victory today is a great way to end the season. It’s been another successful season for the club but to win the Roscoe Trophy for the first time in the club’s history is the icing on the cake. And to see the club packed with friends and members to see us clinch a nail-biting final match was just unbelievable!”
